Collagen is a fibrous protein found in large quantities in all mammals. Collagen is mainly found in tendons, blood vessel walls, bones and in our skin. The near-source collagen is in peptide form, which means it is broken down into shorter amino acid strings for improved absorption. The peptide form not only means that it is easier for the body to assimilate the collagen, but it is also easier to dissolve it in water. Mix the right dosage in a glass of water and you will get a protein-rich liquid.
Collagen can be used as a protein supplement during training or increased protein needs. If you'd rather apply it to your everyday diet, it's great to mix into your morning coffee or tea.
Collagen consists of protein and is the building block of bones, tendons, muscles and skin. The close source collagen is in a peptide form, i.e. shorter strings of amino acids to be more easily absorbed. Contains 90% proteins. This is a bovine collagen which mainly provides collagen type I.
Dosage
2 tablespoons (14 grams). Mix in liquid, take with or without food.
